A MAN was slashed after a row erupted in a Glasgow takeaway.
Police were called to an Indian restaurant in Baillieston after a knifeman attacked the 35-year-old.
He was slashed across the head and arms by the attacker at around 4.45pm on Thursday.
Staff and customers watched in horror as the pair brawled in the Main Street takeaway.
The victim was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he underwent treatment for his injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At around 4.45pm on Thursday June 11, a 35-year-old man sustained head and arm injuries during an altercation in Main Street, Baillieston.
"He is currently detained in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary in a stable condition."
The Evening Times understands detectives are following a positive line of inquiry.
