There were emotional reunions at Glasgow airport today as holidaymakers returned from Tunisia.

Scores of people were on the plane from Enfidha airport which arrived at 1.50pm.

Before they came through to the arrivals lounge they were handed NHS leaflets offering support to cope with the stress of a major incident.

They were also briefed by police officers who boarded their plane when it landed.

It was part of a package of measures to give holidaymakers help and assistance and also to see if there is any evidence to be gathered following the atrocity.

Angela Allan, 35, from Yoker, held onto her husband and burst into tears in the arrivals lounge.

She was returning from the Kanta hotel near to where the terrorist attack happened on Friday.

Angela had been on holiday with her two children and was glad to be reunited with her husband.

She said: "I'm just glad to be back home. I was away with my two kids and I'm just happy to be back in Scotland."

Roseann Stewart, 58, from Newton Mearns, was on holiday with her daughter Leigh-Ann, 25.

Mrs Stewart praised staff at her resort, which was around 20 minutes from where the shooting happened.

She said: "Everyone was panicking but we got a lot of information.

"We were also able to check the Internet and we were speaking to people back home to find out what was happening.

"I felt very safe where I was, although I know a couple from the hotel next to ours had just been to the beach before it happened. They were very shaken up."
