A MAN driving a mobility scooter was taken to hospital after he fell onto the tracks at a Glasgow railway station.
The alarm was raised shortly after 4pm.
The incident caused delays to trains between Motherwell and Dalmuir and Edinburgh and Milngavie with the disruption continuing until after 7pm.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: ““Our officers were called to Anniesland rail station on Wednesday, 1 July, to reports of a person on the track.
“On arrival officers found that a person on a mobility scooter had accidentally driven towards the tracks and fallen.
“Officers are not treating the incident as suspicious.”
