A WOMAN was robbed at gunpoint by two men who forced their way into her Dumbarton home.
Police said the 29-year-old was left in a distressed state following the raid late last night.
Her home,in Graham Road, in the Brucehill area, was targeted at 11.45pm.
The two men forced their way inside and threatened the occupant with a gun.
They then left with money and personal items, police said.
The woman was not injured and the firearm was not discharged at any time.
Detective Sergeant Darren Munogee from Clydebank CID said: “This was obviously a very frightening experience for the young woman who thankfully was not physically injured during this incident.
“Our enquiries are underway to establish the exact motive for this robbery however we believe that this was not a random attack and that the property was the intended target for the culprits.
“I’d also like to reassure the public that there will be an increased police presence in the Dumbarton area and anyone who has any information that could assist our enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on telephone number 101."
