A GLASGOW humanitarian is to be honoured along with two other Scots who helped those suffering from Ebola.
George Turkington, from Glasgow, is the Director of the Ebola Crisis Team at the Department for International Development and will be awarded a medal at an event hosted by the Prime Minister.
He will join fellow Scots John McGhie, a procurement specialist for the same department, and Dr Roger Alcock, an NHS volunteer in the Port Loko emergency centre, at the Downing Street event.
Justine Greening, International Development Secretary said: “The whole of the UK can be truly proud of their achievements.”
