A YOUNG man was hit by a missile and brutally attacked in a nightclub.

The 28-year-old suffered horrific injuries early on Saturday morning at Vienna's in Paisley.

Police said the victim was in the Attic Bar area at around 2am when the missile struck him.

It is thought he was hit with a bottle or glass.

Moments later, he was attacked by a gang and suffered head injuries during the beating.
