MOTORISTS faced rush-hour travel chaos today after heavy rain and a water main burst flooded a busy road.
Water quickly swamped part of the A726 Hurtlet Road when the main burst last night.
The road was completely closed between the Hurlet and the B771 Grahamstone Road, at Dykebar.
Engineers from Scottish Water worked to resolve the problem.
However, heavy rain compounded the problem and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
