MILLIONS of television viewers watched tonight as police launched a fresh bid for information about a notorious Glasgow criminal.
A special appeal was broadcast on BBC’s Crimewatch in a desperate bid to find 54-year-old Martin Hamilton from Anderston.
Hamilton has been on the run for more than three months and is described by officers as “dangerous”.
He was jailed for life in 2000 and released from prison in September 2014.
The fugitive appeared on Crimewatch’s Wanted Faces list.
Presenter Martin Bayfield said: "He was released from prison last year, but is now wanted back inside.
"He was 54 last week and is known to be dangerous.
"Please don't approach him, just call 999."
During the show, it was also revealed the criminal uses the alias Martin Sullivan.
Viewers with information were urged to call the incident room in Glasgow on 0141 532 4756.
Meanwhile, Crimestoppers is offering a £2000 reward in a bid to catch him.
Angela Parker, national manager for Crimestoppers Scotland, said: “We believe that Hamilton may be dangerous and it is imperative that he is found as soon as possible.
“Members of the public are advised not to approach him but, if you do know of his whereabouts, I would urge you to contact us anonymously."
It was also revealed on Crimewatch that another wanted individual, Krzysztof Zalewaki may be in Glasgow after failing to attend court to stand trial.
The 32-year-old was accused of sexual activity with a 13-year-old child.
He was found guilty in his absence and sentenced to seven years behind bars.
