DRUG squad police busted a £300,000 cannabis farm - just yards from Scotland's busiest court.

The massive drugs farm was discovered in a tenement building near Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Officers swooped on the property in Oxford Street on Tuesday evening and uncovered a huge hoard of plants.

Police were still working at the building yesterday and sources described the find as "substantial".

Cops raided the rundown building and discovered seven storeys packed with more than 700 cannabis plants.

Plain-clothes officers were seen coming in and out of the old tenement as investigations got underway.

They found rooms containing cannabis plants and spent hours removing hundreds of plants.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the seizure.
