A MAN has been arrested after a police officer was injured in Largs.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance in Gogo Street at about 4pm on Sunday.
They were confronted by a man allegedly carrying a large bladed weapon.
A police vehicle was damaged and an officer was taken to Inverclyde Hospital with a minor injury.
CS spray was deployed and armed response officers attended.
A 22 year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
No members of the public were injured during the incident.
