POLICE are hunting an armed robber who held up a petrol station in Bearsden.
The masked man targeted BP petrol station in Maryhill Road at around 6.30am on Tuesday.
He was armed with a blunt weapon and demanded money from a worker.
Police said he stole a three-figure sum of cash before making off on foot in the direction of Coronation Way.
The suspect is described as white, of medium build, and 5ft 9in tall.
He was described as wearing a black jacket, red trousers and a red and white scarf.
Detective Constable Joseph Keith said: "Thankfully no one was injured during the robbery.
"However, it was a very frightening experience for the member of staff at the shop.”
"Our enquiries are still at quite an early stage.
"We are analysing CCTV and conducting interviews.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of the petrol station at the time of incident to contact police with any relevant information."
