A PASSENGER had to be met by paramedics at Glasgow Airport today after a flight declared a mid-air emergency.
The British Airways flight was flying into Glasgow from Gatwick Airport when a passenger is understood to have taken ill.
Emergency services raced to the met the Airbus after the flight's captain raised the alarm.
A source told the Evening Times the passenger "suffered a seizure" as the Flight BA2956 came into land.
It left London at 7.40am and arrived in Glasgow at around 9.25am after declaring an emergency.
A British Airways spokeswoman confirmed the emergency.
She said: "The captain requested a priority landing after a customer became unwell on board.
"The aircraft landed safely and the emergency services met the flight to provide medical assistance."
The passenger was checked over by paramedics at the airport and did not require hospital treatment.
