A Kilmarnock FC fan says he is ‘overwhelmed’ by the response to his online rant about his beloved club’s abysmal start to the season.

Dieheard supporter Gordon Sawers, 37, lost his rag in a very public manner after Kilmarnock fell 4-0 to Ross County on Saturday, the Adrossan and Saltcoats Herald reports.

The side have failed to win a match in the Scottish Premiership after five starts and Gordon took to social media to vent his frustration.

The six minute expletive-laden video tirade laying into Killie for their low scoring, poor defending and goals conceded had clocked up nearly half a million views when we went to print.

A clearly incensed Gordon signs off the F-rated rant with a passionate ‘KTID’ – Killie till I die.

The video quickly went stratospheric on social media causing Gordon to turn his phone off to avoid an avalanche of messages and Facebook friend requests from all over the world.

Gordon said: “My phone has been non-stop. I’ve had private messages and texts from Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

“It’s totally overwhelming. Players up and down the country are tweeting to each other about it.

“I did the video on Saturday and thought nothing of it, then got up on Sunday and overnight it had become madness.

“I woke up to about 137 friend requests and over a thousand messages.

“I’m feart to go out – I went to the dentist and somebody stopped me to take a selfie!”

Gordon says he has calmed down since making the video but his thoughts about Killie are unchanged.

“I can’t fathom out why Kimarnock gave Gary Locke a three year deal – he is inexperienced at that level.

“He must have been laughing all the way to the bank.”

Gordon along with other regulars from the Victoria Bar attends matches every Saturday and has been a fan since he was 13, however, he decided to boycott last night’s League Cup tie with Berwick Rangers in which Kilmarnock managed a 4-1 victory.

“Although I’m a season ticket holder they want £15 to watch Berwick Rangers. It’s far too much.”

Killie legend and Victoria landlord Ray Montgomerie confirmed he had viewed the video: “I can understand his frustration. We’ve not been getting the results.”
