THE search for a man who went missing days after separating from his long-term girlfriend is continuing.

Police have issued a re-appeal for information on the whereabouts of Jackson Reid.

The 42-year-old businessman from Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow, was last seen boarding a bus in Alexandria on Saturday June 27. He may have travelled to the Luss area.

He is described as white, 6ft in height and of medium build with short brown hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a dark grey hooded fleece top and trousers. He was also carrying a grey backpack with black panels.

Inspector Alex Hutton of Gorbals Police Office said: “Despite extensive enquiries, we have yet to obtain any information on Jackson’s whereabouts.

“This is obviously a very distressing time for his family and friends and they are extremely concerned for him.

“There have been no further sightings of Jackson since Saturday 27 June 2015 and he has had no contact with any members of his family or friends since then, which is totally out of character.

“Jackson is a keen outdoorsman and is a regular participant in outdoor sports including hillwalking, camping and running, and was registered to participate in a number of sporting events over the last few months which he hasn’t attended.

“I would ask anyone who may have seen him, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland on 101.”

Last month the Evening Times told how his family were desperate for his return.

His step-father John Murray pleaded with him to contact his worried family.

He said: "Jackson, we're missing you something terrible.

"Our lives have stopped the past few weeks and we need to know if you are ok.

"We understand you might not want to come home right now, but please let us know you are safe.”
