A MAN was left with scalp injuries after a rammy broke out in a Glasgow street.

The 35-year-old was left in agony after he was allegedly targeted in the early-morning incident in the Merchant City

A 36-year-old man also suffered injuries, including a broken leg.

The incident took place in Glassford Street, at around 1am today.

Both men were taken to nearby Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Two other people were detained at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report of a disturbance in Glassford at around 1am on Friday August 28.

"A 35-year-old male and a 36-year-old male were injured and taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

"Two persons were detained and inquiries are ongoing."

A CCTV trawl is now underway to find out more about the incident.
