YOUNGSTERS in fancy dress turned out in force to join in an annual Toddle Waddle to raise funds for a new Glasgow hospice.

The St Enoch Centre hosted the family event which featured a sponsored walk aimed at the under fives.

Families joined in the fun of trying to raise as much cash as possible for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

The Toddle Waddle was held in the shopping mall with excited youngsters making their way from Debenhams to Hamley’s top shop.

Hamley’s Hatty Bear led the way followed by toddles in imaginative costumes..

Every child who took part received a goody bag and certificate for taking part and doing their bit to raise funds for the hospice.

It provides palliative care and support for patients and families with life limiting illnesses in Glasgow.

Anne Ledgerwood, general manager at St. Enoch Centre, said: “This year’s Toddle Waddle was another big success and it was fantastic to see so many little characters throughout the Centre.

"Thank you to all of the families, toddlers and shoppers who took part and raised funds for this very worthwhile charity. ”

Rhona Bailie, chief executive for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, said: “We are thrilled that St. Enoch Centre is supporting our Foundations Appeal.

"Each of the tiny steps the children took on Sunday helped us move a step closer to laying the foundations of care for the next generation of patients and their families in Glasgow.”
