TRANSPORT police are appealing for information after a group of men sang songs of a religiously offensive nature on a train.
The incident happened on an Oban-bound train which left Glasgow Queen Street at 4.37pm on Saturday.
The men are all described as being in their late-30s. One had a shaved head, another was wearing a white t-shirt and one of them had a moustache.
Constable Stephanie Crawford, the BTP officer in charge of the enquiry, said: “It is reported that the men had been drinking throughout the journey and as the train neared Oban they were shouting and singing the offensive songs.
"This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and other passengers should not be forced to tolerate it during a train journey. I am appealing for anyone who was on the train and can provide information which can help identify the men responsible to contact BTP as a matter of urgency.”
