A NINE-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car.
The youngster was struck by a dark coloured Honda CRV on Springboig Road, in the East of Glasgow, around 11.15am on Saturday August 29.
He was taken by paramedics to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and is in a stable condition.
The 45-year-old driver of the car was uninjured following the collision, which happened near to the junction with Threestonehill Road.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Police Constable David Nicol from the Greater Glasgow Divisional Road Policing Unit, said: "This was a serious incident which has left a young boy requiring medical attention.
"We continue to progress our enquiry to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident...
"I would ask that anyone who witnessed the crash contact the Road Policing Unit at Glasgow via the 101 number with any information they may have."
