Two people received medical treatment after a car crashed in Hardgate in Clydebank last night.

The Clydebank Post reports firefighters received a call shortly before 10.40pm on Monday, August 31 following reports a vehicle had gone into railings at Glasgow Road, near the Goldenhill pub.

They provided first aid to a man and a woman, and helped the woman from the passenger seat.

A steel girder had entered the car and was positioned slightly behind the driver’s seat, so it was decided to keep the man in place until paramedics arrived.

Both casualties, described as elderly, were taken to hospital for precautionary check-ups.
