Police have launched an appeal to find a missing Springburn man who disappeared over a week ago after leaving a hospital.
Gary Smith, of Springburn Road, was receiving treatment at Stobhill Hospital.
The 23-year-old left the hospital at around 4.30pm on Thursday, August 27 and police say it is not known which direction he went.
He is described as white, 6 foot in height, with a slim build and short brown hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a white polo-top and white trainers.
Inspector Catherine McNally, of Baird Street Police Office, said: “It is out of character for Gary to go missing and to not be in contact with family and friends. There is mounting concern for his wellbeing and we are now appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing Gary safe and well.
“Enquiries and searches are currently ongoing into his whereabouts. It is possible that Gary could be in the area of Ayr or also Greater Glasgow. I would urge anyone who has seen him, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland officers at Baird Street on 101.”
