SUZIE the Highland Cow comes face to face with her own fanclub including Taggart star Alex Norton.

She is one of the stars of the Let's Eat Glasgow festival which takes place this weekend at SWG3, the former Clydeside bonded warehouse at Yorkhill.

Demand for the UK's first not-for-profit restaurant festival and producers' market has been so high organisers have been forced to stop selling advance meal vouchers three days ahead of opening.

The organisers, however, say that anyone attending the festival can still buy these vouchers on the day.

Organisers said vouchers for the inaugural festival were selling at an "astonishing" rate of two a minute.

Those with meal vouchers will enjoy dishes made to order by chefs from city restaurants including Cail Bruich, the Gannet, Guy's, Mother India, Ox and Finch, Stravaigin and Ubiquitous Chip.

As well as delicious fresh food, there will be seasonal produce from more than 40 top artisan producers and social enterprises, fish filleting and butchery demonstrations, livestock, live music and children's entertainment.
