A BUS driver was taken to hospital after an East End road crash.
The collision between a lorry and a bus took place at the Baillieston Interchange around 1.20pm this afternoon.
Fire fighters and trauma doctors worked to free the male bus driver who had become trapped between the steering wheel and pedals of the vehicle.
He was then taken to Monklands Hospital as a precaution.
All 18 passengers on the single-decker were uninjured and were picked up by another bus.
Watch Manager Andy Naughton, the incident commander, said: “The bus driver was pinned by the steering wheel and pedals, so we performed a dashboard roll to move them back to their original position and release him.
“We were working closely with paramedics and a trauma doctor throughout the operation and this ultimately saw the casualty safely released.”
