POLICE searching for missing pensioner Janet McKay have found a body.

The 88-year-old, who has dementia, vanished a week ago from her home in Knightswood.

A body was found at 10.30am today in Clydebank.

A police spokeswoman said: "Although formal identification has still to take place, police believe it to be Janet McKay and her family has been informed.

"A post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.

"However, the death is not being treated as suspicious."
