TWO people were taken to hospital after they were trapped during a car crash.
The collision happened last night around 9.05pm in Renfrewshire's Hagg Crescent.
Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to free a man and a woman who were trapped in one of the cars, before they were taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
Station Manager David McCaughey, the incident commander, said: “Our crews immediately moved to assist the casualties and stabilise the vehicles.
“A man and woman had already exited one of the cars prior to firefighters’ arrival but the condition of the occupants of the second car meant they had to be released.
“Our crews were working alongside paramedics who were treating this man and woman inside the vehicle and removing the roof created the space needed for firefighters and paramedics to lift them clear.”
