Jeremy Corbyn was a "big hit" with a hen do he met on a train, according to an onlooker.
The Labour leader addressed the group of women as he travelled back from a visit to Scotland.
Fellow passenger Henry Bell, who said the women had been drinking "vodka and Vimto" disclosed the encounter on Twitter.
Mr Bell, a writer, posted a picture of "comrade Corbyn addressing the hen do" adding: "He was a big hit."
Mr Corbyn is not the first Labour leader to have had a chance encounter with a hen do.
During the general election campaign former Labour leader Ed Miliband was jokingly referred to as "the stripper" after his battle bus was gatecrashed by Nicola Braithwaite and her friends.
The group from Knutsford spotted the Labour bus outside the Westminster Hotel in Chester and Miss Braithwaite received an invitation to board the bus and meet Mr Miliband.
The lawyer left the coach to cheers from her fellow hens and confirmed she got a photo with the Labour leader.
Mr Miliband later appeared at the door of the coach waving, prompting further screams and cheers.
