A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault outside a city casino.
The 47-year-old was detained in custody and is due to an appear at court on Monday.
It comes after the Evening Times revealed an internal probe had been launched into the case amid claims evidence was destroyed.
Police were called to the scene of a disturbance, near the Genting Casino, in Sauchiehall Street, at about 4am on Wednesday, September 16.
A 29-year-old man was previously arrested.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 47-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with this incident."
