A MAJOR search is underway for a teenage girl who disappeared from her home.
Amelia Gibbons, who is known as Millie, was last seen by her family in Uddingston at around 3am on Friday.
Police have been searching for the 17-year-old since she was reported missing.
She is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with long black hair and wearing black-rimmed glasses.
When she was last seen, Millie was wearing a grey jumper, black cropped top, black trousers or leggings and black shoes.
Sergeant Keith Campbell said: "Millie has not been missing before and as time passes, her family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.
"Inquiries are ongoing to trace her and the police helicopter has also assisted with the search.
"I would ask anyone with information on here whereabouts to contact Police Scotland on 101."
