Road closed after two cars collide
POLICE have closed a busy Glasgow road after two cars collided.
The accident happened at Shawfield Drive, near Shawfield Greyhound Stadium, this afternoon.
Police say they received a call at 1.25pm.
A spokeswoman said: "The incident is ongoing.
"Emergency services are in attendance."
The extent of injuries is not yet known.
The road is closed in both directions between New Rutherglen Road and Newhall Street.
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area.
