A woman has died after she was struck by a train.
The incident happened near Falkirk Grahamston station at around 7.40am today.
The train involved was the 06.39 Perth to Edinburgh service.
British Transport Police (BTP) said there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
The incident caused disruption to passengers, with Edinburgh to Dunblane trains suspended and Glasgow Queen Street to Falkirk Grahamston services terminating at Cumbernauld.
Passengers from Edinburgh were asked to board services to Polmont from where rail replacement buses would take them to Stirling to connect with Queen Street to Dunblane.
Passengers from Glasgow Queen Street to Falkirk Grahamston were advised to board services to Falkirk High, from where buses would bring them to Falkirk Grahamston.
A ScotRail spokesman said: "We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused by this tragic incident."
