DOUGHNUT dynasty Krispy Kreme is set to create 150 jobs by opening a new store in Braehead.
The American firm has lodged an application to turn the former Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum at Braehead into a giant doughnut restaurant.
The store is expected to open later this year.
A spokesman said: "Krispy Kreme is sprinkling its doughnut magic in Braehead as it announces that 150 jobs will be created for locals ahead of its opening later this year.
"The premium doughnut retailer is now on the hunt for enthusiastic and passionate individuals that love having a good time and delivering the best possible service – it’s these ingredients that make a Krispy Kreme moment so magical for customers.
"Doughnuts will be made fresh everyday at their new Hotlight store and the new team members will learn how make Krispy Kreme’s delicious doughnut range, how to provide customers with expert advice on what flavours to choose from, learn how to be a barista to offer customers the best doughnut companion - Krispy Kreme coffee - which is made from 100% freshly ground Arabica beans, delivering a great experience for customers in store."
