ITV2 faces a legal bill running to millions of pounds after a judge ruled that presenter Peter Andre fabricated his evidence during the channel’s court battle with a TV production firm.
The company must pay Neville Hendricks’ firm “substantial damages” after his firm sued it for axing his work on the reality TV star’s shows.
After a case at the High Court in London, Mr Justice Flaux dismissed claims by Andre, 42, and manager Claire Powell that Mr Hendricks sent them “scurrilous and vitriolic” tweets after the end of their relationship.
He described Andre, 42, as “an extremely unsatisfactory witness”. He outlined some of his evidence “not truthful” and said his claims Mr Hendricks made deaths threats was “a complete fabrication”.
The legal battle was fought over an ITV2 production agreement in 2010 for shows involving both Andre and singer Kerry Katona.
Ms Powell’s firm CAN Associates worked in close association with Mr Hendricks, her partner.
Mr Hendricks and Ms Powell had a son together.
