The world of fashion has arrived at Remnant Kings with the latest on trend fabric range.

The store’s first fashion selection, it features materials and ideas inspired by the latest catwalk collections at the fabric hub sewing room in Argyle Street.

“Over the past 12 months we have been developing our fashion fabric collections,” says assistant buyer Hazel Berryman.

“Our focus is not on the safe and predictable fabric choices that you may assume a traditional fabric store to stock.

“We are striving to bring fashion forward fabrics to Central Scotland and beyond using trend research to lead our buying decisions.

“By keeping a close eye on the sewing world trends we continually stay up to date with new pattern releases and offering fabrics to support these.

“We’ve been widening our sourcing channels and are proud to work with many suppliers from around the world as well as visiting key trade fairs and growing our existing relationships with some of the best fabric mills.”

The range includes coating and outerwear fabrics, from simple classics such as mohair and boiled wools to ex-designer fabric through to printed and embossed leatherettes.

New party wear fabrics include satin, lace, sequins and luxury furs in unusual colours.

For those looking for inspiration away from the catwalk, a series of free seasonal classes continues at stores across Glasgow and Lanarkshire with a Christmas craft class at the fabric hub sewing room in Argyle Street on November 8, and Hamilton and Clyde Place, Glasgow on November 12.

Meanwhile the store is working with fashion students in Scotland and this academic year continue its partnership with Glasgow Clyde College by sponsoring a printed design project. This year’s theme is Composed Geometric.
