A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a mother-of-two at a house in West Lothian.

The body of Leighanne Cameron, 29, was found at the property in Mid Calder on Wednesday.

Erhan Havaleoglu, 35, made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private at Livingston Sheriff Court today.

The accused, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody and the case was continued for further examination, the Crown Office confirmed.

Ms Cameron's family paid tribute to her as a "a much-loved daughter, sister and mother of two young children whom she adored, and who absolutely adored her".

In a statement yesterday, they added: "She was an intelligent and talented individual with huge energy and her tragic loss has left us and her wide circle of genuine friends all utterly devastated."
