CHARITY bosses hope to raise an extra £50,000 to support rape victims through a new fundraising campaign.
2016 marks 40 years since Rape Crisis opened, and organisers are appealing to the public to help them support the growing number of women coming to them for help.
The charity is to launch the £40 for 40 years campaign, which will help pay for a support session for a victim of sexual violence.
Centre manager Isabelle Kerr said: “£40 will fund a support session for a survivor, and for some women that's a lifeline.”
