A man has died after his car collided with a lorry on one of Scotland's busiest roads.
The crash happened on the A90, two miles south of Brechin, at about 6.20pm on Wednesday, when a Skoda car collided with a lorry.
Emergency services attended but the 65-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 30-year-old female passenger in the Skoda and the lorry driver were uninjured.
The driver will not be named until formal identification has taken place.
The road was closed until 1am on Thursday as police carried out an investigation. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
