OUR website – EveningTimes.co.uk – has had one million unique readers this month.

The bumper figure for November is a first in the history of the newspaper’s website.

Thousands have come to our website this week to read live and exclusive breaking stories, such as  our report about a fake photographer who lured a 20-year-old young woman to a park in Glasgow’s West End and sexually assaulted her.

Our images of a major chip shop blaze in Kilmarnock had readers talking across the country on Monday.

And On the same day, we told how cops were hunting ram-raiders who
destroyed a Glasgow newsagents’ storefront.

On Thursday night, we had live video footage of police kettling Ajax fans in Glasgow city centre ahead of the Europa League match against Celtic.

Rob Bruce, Evening Times executive editor, said: “This is a significant milestone in the history of Glasgow’s favourite newspaper.
“We will now build on this to ensure that the Evening Times is the paper that gets Glasgow talking, both online and in print, and continues to keep the people of Glasgow and the West of Scotland right up to date with what is happening in their community, in their city and beyond.”

The paper’s Head of Digital Gordon Stevenson said: “EveningTimes.co.uk has hit one million monthly unique users for the first time – and we couldn’t have done it without our loyal readers.

“We are now more and more becoming the online destination for breaking Scottish News, Sport and Entertainment.

“More than 12,000 readers have already joined our community on facebook .”
