Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following an act of wilful fireraising in Torphicen.
The incident happened just after 12am on Friday 27 November in Bowyett when two cars were set alight, causing extensive damage to them.
Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.
Detective Constable Lee McCall of Livingston CID said: “We’re still working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident but, thankfully, no one was injured and the fire was quickly brought under control by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“We’re asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone with information relevant to the investigation, to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact the charity Crimestoppers in anonymity on 0800 555 111.
