A Glasgow bus driver had pedestrians doing a double take when he motored along city streets heading for “Gotham City”.

The unidentified driver’s prank was captured by photographer David Moffatt on Wednesday morning.

David explained to the Evening Times that he was leaving for work when he saw the bus with “Gotham City - via Batcave” on its destination display.

Spotted as I walked out of my flat this morning. If id not forgotten my phone and had to go back for it id never have...

He quickly took a snap but was unable to get a close look at the trickster - except to confirm that he was not in Batman costume.

David, 37, said: “I had just left my house when I realised I’d forgotten my phone, so I went back for it and when I was walking out my drive I just saw this bus that said it was going to “Gotham City via the Batcave”.

“It was an old, knackered-looking bus and it had just stopped at the traffic lights so I pulled out my phone and got a couple of pictures.”

David, who posted the picture on his Facebook and Instagram (@moffphotography) pages, added: “It was a maroon Volvo, and it looked pretty old. It had the little yellow school sticker so maybe it was a school bus.

“I got a quick look at the driver but I couldn’t see his reaction when I took the picture. He definitely wasn’t Batman, though.”
