POLICE cordoned off a Clydebank street after a man was found injured.
Officers were called to Linnvale in Dumbarton in the early hours of New Year's Day.
They say a man in his 40's was found injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is said to be in a "stable" condition.
The nature of his injuries is not yet known.
Detectives remained on the scene yesterday.
Police tape was put up as they searched for clues about the incident.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Inquiries are at an early stage".
