Singer Lulu has paid tribute to David Bowie by saying she feels "a deep and profound sadness."
The Scottish singer, who covered the legend's Man Who Sold The World in 1974, tweeted, "At the news of David Bowie's death I feel a Deep and profound sadness.I send my heart felt condolences to Iman and his children for their loss."
She also shared an image of the pair together on Instagram.
Lulu dated Bowie when she was 26.
She previously said in interviews: “We were so connected because of the music – it was the personal stuff that was… odd.
"Some of the conversations we had were insane.
"My mum thought Bowie was the weirdest thing she’d ever seen, and to a mother of course he was."
The pair also dueted on the track Dodo which was never released.
