A BIGOTED thug who scrawled sickening racist abuse in the SNOW is being hunted by cops.

The twisted yob wrote a vile slur on a snow-covered car which was parked outside the victim's home in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire.

Police were called in to investigate the hate-filled slogan which was daubed in the snow on Saturday.

Detectives confirmed a hate crime probe had been launched but remained tight-lipped about the nature of the slur.

The victim's vehicle was parked in Stewart Drive Clarkston when it was targeted.

Witnesses have been urged to come forward.  A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "On Saturday January 16, a report was made of vandalism to a car in Stewart Drive, Clarkston.

"The incident is being treated as a hate crime and inquiries are ongoing.  "Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101."

The Evening Times recently revealed how more than one third of all religious hate crimes in Scotland have happened in Glasgow.

The latest data released by the Scottish government shows 197 charges were made in 2014/15 relating to religious hate crimes in Glasgow, 35% of the nationwide total.

Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland said there was "no place in modern Scotland" for any type of hate crime and said the figures had fallen from the previous year.
