John Prescott had 'the best put down ever' for Andy Coulson on Twitter after the former News of the World editor revealed he has got a new job.

Mr Coulson, who was sentenced to 18 months in jail over phone hacking at the News of the World, has set up a new PR firm, Coulson Chappell, with Pitch PR founder Henry Chappell. He was David Cameron's former director of communication.

The firm promises clients “discreet corporate strategy and communications advice”.

Mr Prescott took to Twitter to have his say about the news, tweeting he's left Mr Coulson 'a good luck message on my mobile'.

Mr Prescott won £40,000 in damages after journalists at the News of the World hacked into his messages.

The former deputy Labour leader's response was praised by social media users.

His response has been retweeted over 2,800 times.

Mr Coulson was cleared of committing perjury while giving evidence in the trial of ex-MSP Tommy Sheridan. The case against Mr Coulson collapsed after a judge upheld a defence submission that he had no case to answer.
