IT is a dream opportunity and involves sleeping on the job.

Bed firm Sealy is looking to employ a 'sleep ambassador' to test out their range of products.

The role – which is for an initial three-month period – will involve testing Sealy’s new range of beds, pillows and duvets for 2016, as well as trialling a number of sleep experiences including testing sleep-aids and snooze-enhancing diets and lifestyles.

The employee will be paid £100 per sleep, spanning 10 sleeps. They can be based anywhere in the UK and no experience is necessary.

The total package is worth £2,500.

It is part of Sealy’s drive to help the country become a nation of deeper sleepers.

The bed manufacturer is searching for an applicant who is "proactive, open-minded, articulate, not to mention, a lover of a good night’s sleep".

Neil Robinson, Sealy’s resident sleep expert, said: “This really is the ultimate job for the person who loves to snooze, and we are literally paying someone to ‘sleep on the job.’

"While undoubtedly it is a fun position, we do view this as an important job and we will be using our applicant to provide valuable feedback into our products, as well as debunking sleep myths.

"We can’t wait to start interviewing.”

The application closes on February 19.

To apply visit www.sealy.co.uk/dreamjob/ and fill in the online application form, letting Sealy know why they deserve to become the official “Sleep Ambassador.”
