The stepfather of model Katie Price has appeared in court charged with rape.
Paul Price, a fence erector, of North Drive, Angmering, West Sussex, was charged in November in connection with the alleged sex attack which is said to have taken place in Worthing in the early hours of March 22 last year.
The 52-year-old faces two counts of rape as well as alternative charges of attempted rape on each count.
During the hearing at Chichester Crown Court, a trial date was set for November 23 with a further preliminary hearing set for July 8.
Judge Christopher Parker QC told the defendant: "I am obliged to tell you that if you do not attend the next hearing or for trial not only will a warrant be issued for your arrest, the trial may take place in your absence."
Price was released on conditional bail until the next hearing.
