A chimney has fallen off a home after being struck by lightning during storm Henry.
Police Scotland said they were called to the house in Kilmarnock's Morris Crescent, Hurlford at around 6.20am today.
A spokesperson for Ayrshire Police Division said: “Officers remain at the scene and we are working with our partners including East Ayrshire Council and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to ensure that the property is safe.
"The lightning strike has caused some structural damage but thankfully no one has been injured.”
The road was closed.
