TWO people were taken to hospital after an early morning collision in East Dunbartonshire.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crews had to free a man trapped inside a vehicle that had left the roadway near Kirkintilloch.
Both he and a second man, who was outside the vehicle, were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance while a woman received a precautionary check-up from paramedics at the scene.
The incident took place on the A83 at Campsie Road and firefighters were sent in response to a call from ambulance control made around 4:55am.
In a separate incident, fire crews were called into action to rescue someone from a vehicle around 6:50am following reports of a collision on East Kilbride Road at Busby.
The firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle, allowing the joint SFRS and ambulance team to place the casualty on a rescue board and safely lift him clear.He was taken to Hairmyres Hospital.
