A team of wounded military veterans are due to enter the record books when they become the first all-amputee group to row an ocean.

British foursome Row2Recovery are expected to land in Antigua's English Harbour between midday and 2pm on Thursday, following their 3,000 mile journey across the Atlantic.

The crew - Lee Spencer, 46, from Yelverton in Devon; Nigel Rogoff, 56, from Hereford; Paddy Gallagher, 30, from Wisbech in Cambridgeshire; and skipper Cayle Royce, 29, from Dartmouth in Devon - set off from La Gomera in the Canary Islands on December 20, competing in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

If they make it to the finish line, they will make history as the first all-amputee team to row an ocean.

The Row2Recovery team, who were boosted by a phone call from long-term supporter Prince Harry while at sea, are rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean unaided in just a rowing boat to raise awareness of life beyond injury for injured servicemen and women. They are raising money for Help4Heroes, Blesma and Endeavour Fund.

The first team to cross the finish line, Ocean Reunion, broke the race record when they made it to harbour on Tuesday evening last week, just 37 days after leaving for the Caribbean.
