A pensioner has been charged after two men were allegedly assaulted on a bus.
The pair, aged 30 and 44, were injured following a “disturbance” on Friday afternoon and officers rushed to the scene.
A 78-year-old man was reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident in Ayr.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 3.10pm on February 5, police were called to a report of a disturbance on a bus in the Sandgate area of Ayr. Officers attended and two men aged 30 and 44 were found to be injured.
“A 78-year-old man is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with the alleged assaults.”
