Six cars have been involved in a crash in the Highlands near the scene of two collisions that took place on Monday involving eight vehicles.
The incident happened at about 8.30am on Tuesday on the southbound carriageway of the A9 between Allangrange junction and the Munlochy junction on the Black Isle.
Emergency services were called but there are not thought to be any serious injuries, police said. The road was closed and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
On Monday, eight cars were involved in two separate crashes at around the same time on the same stretch of road.
A woman was taken to hospital after six cars collided north of the Munlochy junction.
Two cars were involved in the second incident. There were no casualties but one car caught fire.
