Model Katie Price has signalled on Twitter she would loved to adopt Scotland's giant rabbit - Atlas.

The Evening Times reported yesterday that the Scottish SPCA is seeking a new owner for the larger than life rabbit - and it could be heading to Katie Price's home.

The Loose Women presenter tweeted, "“We will have rabbit if not gone.”

Staff at the charity's centre in Cardonald, Glasgow, took in the seven month old continental giant rabbit when his owner could no longer look after him.

Mum-of-five Katie is a be a big fan of animals and has amassed a collection of over 170 of her own including 80 chickens, two baby pygmy goats, a number of pigs, five horses and four dogs called Kevin, Derek, Trevor and Vera.

Centre manager Anna O'Donnell said, "Atlas is already about the size of a Westie and is still young with some growing to do.

"He is a very friendly rabbit who loves attention and getting cuddles.

"Atlas is also an inquisitive boy who makes everyone laugh with his mischievous character.

"We are looking for a specific home for Atlas due to his breed and size. A standard rabbit hutch won't do so his new owner will need plenty of space for him.

"Atlas needs an owner with the knowledge to properly care for him, so ideally someone who has kept a continental giant before."

If anyone is interested in offering him a home they should call the centre on 03000 999 999.
